When we experience challenging moments or stressful situations, our mindset is critical to how we get through it. Today we’re going to be discussing a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset. In doing so, we will build on, question and challenge each other's ideas in a respectful manner.

Keeping a growth mindset is similar to maintaining a positive attitude. It can take some time to practice and typically requires a proactive approach.

Now it’s time to share your thoughts. In your submission answer the following questions:
1. Reflect - Write about one time when you experienced something challenging but you persevered. What did you think of? What was your motivation? Why didn't you give up?
2. Identify - Think of one strategy you can use to keep a growth mindset in your daily life.
3. Propose - With a growth mindset, how might you support other people when they are facing challenges? Give an example.
After submitting your response, read at least two of your classmates’ responses and post a reply. Did they change your perspective in any way? Do you disagree? Why or why not? Can you add to their ideas?
Don’t worry about being on the “right” side of the argument. It’s okay to take a stance even if you’re not fully convinced one way or another. In fact, it’s a good thing to try and see issues from an alternative perspective.
